Citi rejigs cards & retail finance (Express India)
With its credit card and consumer finance portfolios ‘hurting’, Citi India is currently giving shape to a new strategy in both these areas to tackle delinquencies in the new high interest rate environment. Simultaneously, the bank is being extra vigilant to ensure the economic slowdown does not lead to mounting non-performing assets in its substantial SME portfolio as well.

Shares in troubled Dominion Finance Holdings resume trading today after the sharemarket regulator lifted a suspension. NZX Regulation suspended Dominion Finance’s shares on July 8, after the company missed the deadline to provide its report for the year to March 31.

TCF Expands into Inventory Finance Business (Centre Daily Times)
TCF Financial Corporation (TCF) (NYSE: TCB) announced today the creation of a new subsidiary called TCF Inventory Finance, Inc. ("TCF Inventory Finance"). TCF Inventory Finance, headquartered in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, will specialize in the inventory floorplan finance business in the U.S. and Canada, with an initial focus on the consumer electronics and household appliance industries.
